Madeline Island

Madeline Island is the spiritual home of the Ojibwe people,  destination of the westward migration to where "the food grows upon the water" . Its Ojibwe name is Mooningwanekaaning, the place of the Golden Breasted Flicker woodpecker. Patty Loew,  Bad River Tribal member will be leading the filming crew of Tribal Youth Media students and Diane Canfield Bywaters, plein aire landscape painter and UW Stevens Point art professor will teach oil and acrylic painting techniques in the field.
